Only if your painting causes the brake calipers to fail. Generally no.

painting my callipers

hey guys does anyone know if painting my callipers will void my warranty?

VectorZ I don't think painting them gives the finished look of the covers. My last two cars came standard with Brembos, so these little unfinished calipers are kind of bugging me. The covers are a kind of corny, but if they're made well they will look better and make my car a little different than the rest of the Foci out there.

I've considered it... haha I am kind of an attention whore.

But I think there are only a few colors that I think look good with a dark blue/purple car. Those are the greys/neutrals, yellow, red, or the same blue/purple of the car.

I don't really like orange & blue (except for the Chicago bears, of course). Though it would match the headlight's reflectors...?

RonMaiden Red hides dirt better than yellow.

I don't think red is too cliche. I would say (aesthetically) that red=performance, yellow=LOOK AT ME!!!

Not that that is a bad thing-it really compliments dark colors well. It all depends on the persons attitude and what they want to reflect in their ride.

I would also say that red is probably better when it comes to the brake dust; red just gets darker. I don't know 100% because I have never done yellow......

Can someone post pics of their black?

Q822. My brother has done his in yellow on a black car AWESOME...
I've done all my car with paint kit bought on Ebay and it's perfect. You juste have to do one wheel at the time. One Jack is enough. I did my last one Black with Sline logo it was Nice but RED is always good too..
