84Camaro_L69 I haven't seen it through key word searching the forums (probably missed it), but has anyone had issues with the speakers located in the upper portion of the rear doors? When listening to Satellite radio they are fine, and with most music on my thumb drive they are fine, but some music has low frequencies that make me have to adjust the bass level to a level that makes the music sound like I'm driving an 80s Ford Escort with stock brown paper cone speakers.

If they are blown or blowing, I'd like to know what my options are for replacing, because they've sounded weak since I bought the car new and I'd rather upgrade the small speakers than replace them with weak ones. What size, RMS and peak values, OHM rating, etc.???

eastern sierras That I don't know. Power for the whole system I am guessing 340 watt peak, which is the same as thew Explorers with the sony system. The F150 in 2010 was 700watt peak. When I changed my F150 out,I changed all the speakers and added 2 amps. The Focus I left the stock amp in it as it is also the processor.

Thanks for the info, any idea on RMS wattage?

TiPilot On a related note... has anyone had speakers start to break down?

I'm 95% sure the tweeters in my A-Pillars are starting to give out. I've noticed some crackling even at low-mid volume. At first I thought it was just a bad source, but it's obvious even on HD Radio nowadays.

Hmm, the system i just pulled from my 02 Blazer before i traded it in on my focus actually sounded better with the widows down...

It's not going in the Focus though, i have no desire to dismantle a brand new car and the stock Sony sounds great to me. I have, however, considered replacing the sub with something of miter efficiency/better quality...

Anyone know what rms wattage and ohm load the stock sunny all runs?

My 50-something ears are OK with the Sony system as is, but I had to quote this for the Posies. "Suddenly Mary" is one of the greatest pop songs ever written.

"Loving", she told me, "is a question of bravery"
But when she started to hold me, it was closer to slavery
