DoomsdayFAN I'm planning on going on a 900 mile road trip here in a few weeks and I was wondering if maybe I should put in the 103s before I go? Basically, I just have a CAI and FSWerks exhaust, but that's it, so hopefully switching to the 103s wouldn't be a bad thing. After all, some have said on here that they noticed a nice gain in MPGs, and for going 800+ miles, I think a bump in MPGs would be nice.

Or should I just stick with my current plugs (BOSCH Plat/Ir Fusion)?

oblivion2kx I run 88 octane with cai and exhaust

DoomsdayFAN No, I'm just running 87. My plans for a tune have kind of gone out the window so I'll be sticking with 87 for the foreseeable future. Why?

ergo-ogre Are all of you guys runnin' 93 octane?
06-21-2012 02:45 AM
oblivion2kx 0.06 is the optimal gap for extra air plus higher octane gas

drummer829 I believe they are at .055. I was gonna give them another try as maybe I messed up the gap on one. Only like $8 haha

oblivion2kx Just buy the 104's .. gap them at 0.065 and buy plus gas if you have an exhaust, 65mm throttle body and exhaust.

DoomsdayFAN What do you gap these at?

#1fordfan 103's are one step colder for turbo or high performance engines, but work fine in a stock engine. 104's are for stock engines. I went with 104's because the store didn't have 103's in stock. I have noticed the same performance gains as those running 103's.
