Lol, this is a fun way to start the day...

Mr. Pilot, I have researched the technical data that is applicable to the fault/issue we are discussing. My initial research proved useful until I came across something that was not added by the engineers. In the above post by A-to-the-J, he has 40 posts ( as of this write-up), but his stars are bronze. I have no bronze, but the data states that your post-count should be significantly higher to have it...this leads me to find out what the discrepancy is.

Pilot write-up - Seat cushions uncomfortable

A&P sign off - Changed pilot, found ok.

You're it. <-- {that's a funny way to tag)

I haven't actually had the car running yet, engine just finished getting rebuilt and installed today. Although we wrapped my buddies the same way and it dramatically reduced bay temps but holding your hand behind the actual exhaust pipe exit seemed hotter. It smoked and smelled for awhile but runs and seems normal now. On both cars we cleaned thoroughly the header with a steel wire brush and then a grease removing solvent. High heat paint coated them, wrapped then silicone coated
where at in nashville are you? I'm in the hermitage area and have a '12

sorry for being off topic.

A-to-the-J I would look into ceramic coating. I've noticed a better drop in temperature from ceramic vs wrap. Also, depending on how big the oven is, you can get your exhaust coated too. I like the black ceramic coat, stock looking.

02svtf300 I wrapped my svt,s header a few months ago the smell goes away it's the curing process.

It helps underhood temps dramatically... I can actually put my hand on the header with it full temp and not burn myself ( instantaneously that is).

And I wouldn't worry about header deterioration unless u got some cheap ass thin walled piece

** I also used the silicon spray coating

How do you feel that this has affected your underhood temps?
