|kmedina941||Does 215/60/16 fit? Its .7 inch more than 215/55/16.|

|Titan13||Good point! It's probably like suss says the wheels were winters. The Conti's that were on them looked new so the dealer may have replaced the winter tires with new rubber in order to sell. After all who wants to buy a car in June with winter tires.|

|Titan13||Maybe, but the tires are Continental contipro contact all season on 17" polished ford focus factory wheels. Maybe you're correct but i couldn't see putting those rims on as winter beaters. Maybe the dealer changed out the worn rubber from winters as I did buy it in June. there's not a mark on the wheels to suggest they have seen salted roads.|

|Titan13||While pricing out winter tires I found that the door sticker on my Ti states 235/40R18 but it came with 215/50R17's. I bought it used from a dealer. Is it possible the wrong tires were installed at the factory or did they get swapped at the dealer.|

Even if you don't rub, the tires would be too wide for the rims, and changing ONLY the size not the aspect ratio as well means they'd be too large in diameter - changing gear ratios and speedometer readings (less acceleration, reads low vs. actual).
205-215 fits well on a 7" wide rim, and yours are 6" wide now.
Look at the next stock size up for comparison, 215/55-16 on a 6.5 or 7" wide rim.
Changes in rim width also use corresponding changes in offset to make it all fit right.

New MK3 Owner. I have a '12 S sedan with the 15" Steelies.
Not looking to upsize wheels per se...but I'm interested in putting as much rubber on the road as I can, at least for summer tires.
Stock tires are 195 /65...If I go to a 205 or a 215 width, am I likely to have any rubbing issues?
I'm assuming "no", given the availability of 17" and 18: wheel options.

|firebirdude||The bolt pattern for all Focus 2012+ factory wheels is 5x108?|
