Chaterham makes those that can handle a Zetec. So if I ever wreck the Focus, I'm stuffing my turboed Zetec into one of those. Kits are only 3-5K

Fordesigner Again thanks for all the replies...
I have not taken it to the drags. I'm planning on hitting Waterford race course June 6. I want to prep for that. I'm planning on the drags sometime in July or August. We have FME nights out here. (Ford Motorsports Enthusiats). That's only $37 for all night. I'm really not much of a drag racer, but I'd like to see what it can do. With traction, I guess low 13- high 12s
I may end up getting one of the FWD hotshoes to run it. Just so I'm not holding the car back, launching and timing lights is not my thing. But you got to respect those that can.
I'll post up both, track and lap times. It should be a great year.

Car $13K Bought new power/premium and 0% interest rate(A plan too).
Turbo $4200 and this number is going down as I sell off some extra couplers and clamps I still have.
Engine $1K with 700 of that going into head work. Remember, I'm getting this power with stock rods and stock pistons.
Suspension $1700
So around 20K, not including wheels and tyres. And more tyres, and more tyres...

All those are rough guesses. Except the turbo and car. A good 80% of the work was done by me. Only some machining, welding and the powdercoating was sent out.

Top speed?? No idea. She's fast enough to hand a new M3 it's ass, even when the speeds hit triple digits. She'll also do that to those SRT4s. Those guys really hate me.

I am not 100% sure, but i believe that Bill does not drag the car. He built it for daily driving in the summer and for track days on road courses.

Dollar figure-not sure but the complete package is quite alot.

I will ask bill to come back and post up and answer your questions..

COCHYN a dollar value?!?!? damn, I couldn't even do that with mine! LOL

I DID PUT A "ROTM RANT" POST UP IN THE GENERAL CHAT SECTION THAT HAD A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED, BUT IT WAS DELETED!!!

FocusInAlaska I like your car and love your style. This may not be a fair question, but have you put a dollar value to your mods?
