Over the weekend I installed the poly bushings into the stock lower trans dogbone. Little vibration....an I mean little. Far better shifting and more solid feel.
Just installed the VF Upper Driver and Passenger side poly mounts today. Wow, tons of vibration. Change rattles in cup holder and ash tray and other things in other places. It's not too bad at speed. But at idle and a little above it's a little much. I read all the reviews and all mostly said to stay with the dogbone only for street use and to only use all 3 mounts for racing, etc. I can attest to this. I'm going to run the mounts for now. I'm hoping they loosen up a little. I'm also going to try re-aligning the mounts to see if that will lessen the vibration. Otherwise, if you are really hardcore about getting all your power to the ground....then run these.

|DoomsdayFAN||I want to get the other two mounts done. I dont mind the current vibrations at all. It makes it feel and sound (from the interior) more like a beast. I imagine with all three that it'll be even more beastly. Especially with cams/header/etc.|

Which foam density would be better if you went and replaced all the mounts with the "Poly" ones?

Try that out. That should significantly reduce any feedback you get to through the Steering wheel.
Another way to significantly reduce the NVH if you are very concerned yet NEED the poly mounts and comfort is to fill the front frame rails with 4 or 8lb density foam. I'll post up a link later, but this has been successfully done on a number of other vehicles and you couldn't tell it was using poly or solid motor mounts. (http://www.shopmaninc.com/foam.html)

Wow and to think I'd really like to do the "dogbone" mount with urethane bushings.
After hearing about this much NVH after going to more than 1 bushing I'll reconsider. My DD is too important to me and comfort is a big factor...don't think I can handle all that vibration on a daily basis.

|Buickboy||Ive done the D/S one- just support the tranny with a jack, unbolt, install and torque it down. ive got the steeda though which is wonderful except for the fact that it was too tall for the stock battery box.|

Scrammer, I've had the C-F-M rear motor mount done in mine for about 2 weeks and it still vibrates like crazy . So I can't imagine putting all the 3 in like you did .
I have narrowed my vibrations down to 2 points 1 is around my steering column somewhere and the other is in my arm rest ...
