I'm excited to see this project. I have the same lights (in my basement) and mine were getting so much condensation I had to open and reseal them.

I researched for the best plan for an HID retrofit, and came to the same conclusion as you with the motimoto mini H1s. Then I saw a lot of the potential pitfalls that stood between me and an HID setup, and determined my skills weren't ready for it yet.

I chose the beginner stage. I kept them halogen and tinted the LEDs, turn sigals and reflectors.

Good luck. I think it's an awesome idea.

Hold brake, hold gas, should rev to 2-3k (can't remember as I've seen it but don't do it myself), let off brake. If you have S mode you may have to switch to that first.

Dculv Here's my focus. I've had it alittle over a year and have had my windows tinted and just plasti dipped my wheels yesterday. I went with a dark navy blue because I see to many cars like that and wanted mine to stand out. I plan on getting red lug nuts and red mud flaps. I think they will compliment each other. I plan on painting all the chrom and getting some drl's and lowering it to give it an aggressive look.

EvilEric19 Between the headlights, hid kit, retro-quick kit, resistors & relay harness, plus some misc. items I'd say I'm somewhere around $600

FFhb13 Le me know how much you paid for everything, I'm considering a retrofit

EvilEric19 In the process of retrofitting my spec-d headlights with Motimoto mini H1 projectors. Bought the sped-d "retro-quick" kit from The Retrofit Source. Also going to paint the high beam reflector and the bezels gloss black(the bezels are matte black now), tint the led strip, turn signal lens and orange reflector. Going to try to figure out why the passenger's side led strip doesn't always work as well, which will probably be near impossible being that there is quite a bit of wiring inside these. They were super easy to open up, just used a hair drier on the lowest setting and worked my way around the light.

Pink towel FTW
