Has anyone successfully programmed the remote of one of these Fusion flip keys to work with their 2014?
I posted in this thread almost 2 years ago before giving up on the key because I can't get the car into "pairing" mode or "learning" mode or whatever it's supposed to be in order to get a new remote to work.
I only came back because I recently got a 2014 Escape and I'm using a Fusion flip key with that car no problem. Programming the remote was simple, as was programming an extra key. I can't figure out why the Focus (2014, at least) doesn't work with any of the methods I've found on this site. I'm wondering if I just missed the answer.

|edfocusse13||finally got the key cut the other day. got lucky dealer i took it to didn't charge me to cut it and it is working great, took two time of trying to program to work think i went to fast the first time. would definitely recommended Artiway if you want a switchblade key at a decent price.|

|edfocusse13||Got mine in the mail today, got the remote part of it programmed just need to get it cut and the transponder programmed. The blade is a little loose front to back "buttons to ford emblem" not enough to be a bother , and as long as it will program to the ignition I will be happy with the purchase.|

not sure if it was just the key I got or if anyone else noticed this too.
The Artiway housing would have just annoyed me to no end. Just a personal preference.

Here's one for the record books...
Here is a copy of an email I just sent to Welly about my key:
I am having some serious issues with my key, and I've had to stop using it. The other day, while I was stopped at an intersection, I began to get errors that the key transponder was not communicating with my car. It almost stalled out, but I was able to get it to stay running. Then, my shifts got erratic, like the computer was trying to immobilize my car. I was able to get it home, and when I started using one of my other keys, all of the problems went away.
I know this sounds weird, but have you heard of anyone else having these issues? Please let me know what you think.
Maybe it's a problem with the battery in the key, or something else. But this is really serious. My car totally did some freaky things, but now that I switched back to a standard Ford key it is running normally. Coincidence? Probably not.
