FR2oh So how it got on the older one who knows
02-12-2014 05:35 PM
FR2oh Well I replaced the motor on a 2006 and I took this and the intake manifold off of it. so I know it came off an 06 I work at ford it was an older body style but I just did some searching on google on looks like it was a one year bracket from 2008 only used on the escape/mariner hybrids

And it doesn't come with the pulley you have.

So what trim/year did yours really come from?

FR2oh The hybrid escape was introduced in 2005 and it came with electric steering

saluteshorts The hybrid has a water pump, crank and tensioner. No alternator, AC or idler.

I own the top cog of that now. It should still work, but adding a second tensioner is just asking for issues.

I still want to figure out what year this came off of. First year for electric steering was '08 and that was primarily mercury models.

sailor Hmmm...

Wonder if there were different variants.

Tensioner at the top with a pulley at the reg. tensioner location would make belt changing easier...

Just tryin' to think how that one would work easiest.

I understand that.

There is however no 2006 Escape with electric steering aside from the hybrid.

I purchased the pulley from that, its a belt tensioner and looks nothing like the photos.
