Miller88 After the 38 MPG tank I drove to my parents and back (150 miles round trip) - got 48.6 MPG! Spent $10 on the whole trip!

mac.mogul Averaged 36mpg over the weekend on a road trip so that bumped my Fuelly average up to 32

Miller88 38.2MPG my last tank. Commuting to and from work for 2 weeks.

If I go to my parents, the average is usually > 40.

The key to gas mileage in this car is
1) Keeping it below 55
2) Taking full advantage of DFCO

mac.mogul Well, after starting fuelly I've realized that the computer is not very accurate. My actual MPG was 29.6 and the computer was giving me 31.8...

A7xschecter6661 I had a weird thing happen the other day. I filled up, cleared the trip and MPG.
Went down the off ramp, immediately put it on cruise at 67mph and went for about 3 miles. The travel was downhill, then mainly flat with a few little hills and dips.

This was the result. It just kept going up!

If it was all downhill I would understand but it was 90% flat or uphill

mac.mogul I just started tracking my fuel economy with Fuelly

Had an autocross this weekend that kind of skewed my results, lol

SteezMuffin 24.2 mpg. I drive mostly city. I've got heavy wheels on and like to accelerate fast.

gtferrari Oh i am running a can of restore engine treatment. Ive cleaned the maf and throttle body routinely. Change plugs every 25k and fuel filter every 40k. My money is on a stretching timing chain. Ive let the ford ids do a compression/power balance test. All within spec. Im gonna hook it back up and look at the fuel trims and see where they sit.

all I can think of is your motor is not working as efficiently due to less pressure from being worn out a bit. Maybe try an engine treatment with your oil. I know this helped my last vehicle with 168k on it
