jzrgarza what would a ls motor do for a del sol? I raced a guy at the 1/8 and he had the ls w/ intake header exhaust. we went back and forth racing 6 times and I won 2 of them a third was so close I didnt know I lost til I got my timeslip.I was disapointed to say the least but it was only my 2nd time at the track and this guy apparantley goes often. I also raced him in his gfs' car, she had an Integra w/ a b16 and some mods of some sort and we had a hell of a race. I pulled in front of him right at the end and his friends were all shocked that I beat him! asking if he let off the gas and what not. what do you make of this?

SD_Focus My friend has a b18 of some sort in his integra and it may be able to leave me feeling like I'm standing still but it still sounds like an electric shaver. I have never liked what I've heard from a torqueless japanese motor reving that high with the exception to my uncle's s2000. Now that is a nice car. Don't get me wrong though, there is always a place in my heart for those little japanese motors. I drove my cousin's modded del sol before and he claims to have an engine swap with 200 horsepower. It doesn't feel like it because I know my focus could beat it but it was a blast to drive around the turns. I almost bought a civic si before the focus. You guys may not like it but I wish i had gone in that direction instead.

dwdgsi03 Yeah, 200lb/tq and 199hp does sound pretty good.

Silver03SVT True, Id rather have 200 ft lbs of torque than 200 hp.

Yeah, it's amazing what torque can do for you in the 1/4 mile.

CivicHatch+SVT-F All i know is from word-of-mouth from all the hardcore tuners around here that Hondata is very well worth it. I havent dug too much into my motor to need to look into programs really so I'll admit im not the one to ask. If your really curious about it, there is an extreme wealth of knowledge on www.honda-tech.com. Their search function is great and all of the real techies on that site will either tell you to search if its been covered a lot or they'll just give you a straight up answer on it.
