step 3: once plastic piece is removed the problem is getting the bulbs out. as you've probably already seen they're a pain to grab. so, what I DID (there could be other ways but i found this easier) was bend the metal surrounding the bulbs in order to reach in and grab them easily with my fingers and pull out.

step 4: replacing the bulbs. it doesn't really matter how you put them back in. i personally put the metal back in its place and then put the bulb in. but whatever works for you is fine.

finally: reverse all the steps to take the map light out and you could get a result like this

I really like how they look. They shine bright enough at night to which it isn't overbearing. I'll be sure to put pictures up of the night time later.
Can you reupload the pics? :)

DarderSauce [SPLOOSH] Gotta say I am really digging the lights fellas, Crice8 do you have a link for the panel lights that you have in your trunk?

Edit: sorry for being an un-original bastard and taking all your ideas but they're just so damn good!

crice8 Yes i have the panel lights in my trunk and it works very well as you can see below(=
as for the map lights and dome lights i have the high intensity blue ones but any 194 wedge style bulb will work.

2011 SE Oh, and in case you were interested, the trunk bulb (there's only one in there) is the exact same size as well. I used to have the HP5 in white, but I moved that one to the trunk when I installed the blue LEDs. Now the trunk is very well lit. Crice installed an LED panel which plugs into the same socket size, if I recall correctly. You can buy them on ebay. Perhaps he or someone else will share a link.

Final note: make sure you test that the bulbs are installed in the correct direction (positive/negative) before you put everything back together. If you switch the light on and the LED produces no light, pull the bulb out, rotate it clockwise 180 degrees, then plug it back in. That should fix the polarity issue.

2011 SE These are the HP5 bulbs:

2011 SE Yes, you need two. One for each of the map lights. If you have a dome light in the back seat and you want to replace that bulb as well, then you would need three.

To remove all doubt, this is a picture of the 9 LED bulb you would be buying (mini wedge base, NOT twist and lock socket):

DarderSauce You do need 2 right?

And you need the WLED-xHP5: LED T10 Wedge Base Bulb and not the twist and lock socket right?
