sailor Read up more here on the 14MO1 & 14MO2 programs that extend warranty coverage on particular portions of the DCT.

Not FULL trans coverage, but those address the primary problem areas.

TxMedic When i first purchased my 2012 focus se in 2013 i had some issues with grinding noises and hard shifts from 1st - 2nd -3rd took it to the dealer and they told me they updated to computer and that was it. I have not had any problems with it till about a month or two ago i have been having problems with it not shifting smoothly and sometimes when i take a corner and step on the throttle again it will rev up before finially catching and then putting the power down. I havent made an apointment at the dealer yet but soon will. I am at 58,230 miles so i need to do it before i hit 60,000miles the limit for the powertrain warranty.

How did your dealer visit go? Keep me in the loop, and let me know your mileage. I'll check into some options.

sailor Rpiper - drive it to the Dealer if it starts & works OK. I'd avoid hopping straight onto I 81 though. Better to have a safer place to pull over & restart if it's getting real bad.

sailor If your symptoms are worse after a long drive in traffic (fairly common), try to make arrangements for it to be checked/tested by appointment so you can "warm it up" before they look at it.
