sailor You can look for new at an online Dealer like tasca.com or Village Ford (check their info. in the Vendors section here).

Otherwise it's searching J/Y or even BST or WTB sections here.

AthlonII240 Not sure if anyone still participates in this thread, but I just took a journey over to my local Ford dealer and asked them about this. To my surprise, they knew exactly what I was talking about, right down to the PCM options and told me to bring her in.

After about an hour or so of them fiddling with it, they let me know they couldn't find the "Speed Control" option in the PCM. I did not see them going through the IDS but they told me what they tried, and it was the same steps as in the OP in this thread.

Any ideas?

Benyay Thank you OP for the well written article and detailed instructions. I just did the same thing last week. I had pulled a steering wheel from a wrecked 09 Focus with Cruise and Audio controls and installed it in my 09 Focus. I took the stereo from the wreck as well. The audio buttons didn't work with my stock head unit so I installed the other one and now the buttons work flawlessly. The dealer gave me flack about activating it. I had to be polite but firm and showed him he instructions from this post and he said he'd give it a whirl. But I'd pay either way. Had a $200 roll of the dice but it all worked out. The technician was not impressed I knew more than him. Now she's like a whole new machine. Thanks again OP.

scoobyvoodoo That's awesome! How sweet is having cruise control?

sheridan I've been a longtime lurker, but I felt I owed this to the community.

I successfully installed cruise control on my 2008 Focus SE. Rather than replace the steering wheel, I simply notched out the left side and slipped in the button module. I had a dealer, Danvers Ford (MA), reprogram the PCM using the directions provided by the OP. They charged me a half hour's labor, $55.

scoobyvoodoo Confirmed.....Yes, this mod will work with a 5spd Focus as well. Took the car in and got it programmed and it works flawlessly. Everything works as it should....the light on the cluster, all the buttons, cruise shuts off if you hit the brake or clutch as it should as well. Very happy with it.

scoobyvoodoo Got new wheel installed, going to the dealer tomorrow to have the programming done. I explained what I wanted and they didn't seem to act like it was going to be a problem so....I'll report back if this does work with manual 5spd models.
