04ZTSJelf I'm not sure if I feel sorry that that happened to your Focus or not. You benefited from it, but at the cost of an engine...

Dalamar they only bought it at that price because I had the receipts for the engine and trans, i could care less if anyone believes it or not, what would gain about lying? +1 to my e-penis size

I don't know why dude would lie about the selling price, but $4200 for a car with 330K miles? That's simply unbelievable. Congrats to holding onto it for that long though, it's nice to see it's possible.

FLZ_Boy Interesting to see a high mileage Focus can sell that high.

Dalamar Since I referenced this post in a newer thread I thought I'd update it, I ended up getting the used engine and trans installed and walked away with an extra $1400 cash, then listed it on CL and sold it for $4200, i ended up driving my 97 CRV for work until 1/3/2013 when I found a used 2012 Blue Candy hatch with sports package and 17k miles

Dalamar well, now I'm forced to wonder, put the $2400 the insurance is giving me towards something else and sell it on craigslist or fix it.

Johns06ZX3 maybe Ford could buy that back from you and give you a nice new 12 foci titanium!

Dalamar TRAGIC UPDATE:
I took it to a shop to let them install the power steering pump and oil change, i swaped a trans in my buddies civic over the weekend and didnt want to be bothered.

THEY FORGOT TO PUT OIL BACK IN IT. The engine siezed before I got out of their parking lot.

Now the good news, i found an engine and trans for $850 with 23k miles on it at a local junkyard, they are buying it and installing it for free. They decided to get the trans in exchange for me not disclosing the name of the shop.

I couldn't be happier.
