How did your dealer visit go? Keep me in the loop, and let me know your mileage. I'll check into some options.

sailor Rpiper - drive it to the Dealer if it starts & works OK. I'd avoid hopping straight onto I 81 though. Better to have a safer place to pull over & restart if it's getting real bad.

sailor If your symptoms are worse after a long drive in traffic (fairly common), try to make arrangements for it to be checked/tested by appointment so you can "warm it up" before they look at it.

It is worst after getting off the highway, then driving on city streets again. I had it serviced at 5k miles. The above issues were not as pronounced as they are now.

Had the car made these types of sounds during the test drive, I would have walked away then.

Anyway, what's the best approach for actually getting the issues fixed? I have a feeling the service department is going to say they can't find anything wrong with it and send me on my way without really trying. And I'd rather not waste my time having to bring it back multiple times, with the same compliant, with no resolution, until stranded on the roadside.
Your best bet is to work with Meagan the ford rep, here at this board to get your case escalated at your local ford dealer.
She posted just before you on this thread today, post 3433
There is a real fix out there, some dealers just need a nudge.
Your right that it is not normal. My rule of thumb was if the passengers are saying "whats that"? , somethings wrong, plain and simple.

Thanks! I recommend setting up an appointment to have this checked out again. Once you have, please send me a message with your VIN, updated mileage, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer name/location. I'll look into some options. :)
