|jrose||Yup, I did mine about a year ago and it's still working just fine. Rather than remove the headlight, however, I removed the left front wheel and the inner fender liner to get at the control box. It was really easy. I also used an ignition point file rather than sand paper. Old school do-it-yourselfers like me remember when our cars had ignition points that often had to be filed smooth and then reset. We were always told to use a point file designed for that purpose rather than sandpaper because sandpaper could leave embedded particles. In short, the write-up here was most helpful to me and I couldn't ask more for a result at what little this "fix" cost me. By the way, my toolbox no longer had an ignition point file in it, and the local Advance Auto had no idea what I was talking about. Amazon.com, however, was able to provide me with such a file.|

lvsmustangs hola, chicos!! ya esta arreglado!! tengo entendido reddy1 que el svt y el st170 son iguales o similares y casi todas las piezas son compatibles.
Mi problema estaba en el modulo IMRC .... una vez desmontado lo he reparado porque estaban piezas dentro rotas... limpiado caudalimetro... borrar fallos en el coche .... y perfecto!!!

My problem was on the IMRC module once removed .... I have repaired because they were broken into pieces ... ... cleaned flowmeter clear faults in the car .... and perfect !!!

|lvsmustangs||Hey guys I've never worked on a 4cylinder before and to be honest it seems a little intimidating. From reading this thread I think this is my problem also. On start up it sounds like a repeated clicking sound coming from the front drivers side. I don't have any check engine lights and the car seems to work fine. I only hear it on start up and then goes away is this that box???? I've had the car for 6mo now and I really like it and am going to start fixing it up. Good thread and information.|

hola, me llamo Noel,
tengo el st170 de focus. tengo un problemas con el IMRC, a ver si me podeis ayudar.
con el coche encendido sin pisar acelerador, la IMRC esta continuamente abrir cerrar abrir cerrar abrir cerrar.... cual puede ser la culpa?
