Just recently installed the CFM 67mm on my 03 svt. Definitely a more noticeable feel and response. I don't if I'm crazy but it seems the same maybe a few miles better, but if I get on it often it drops noticeably as well.

i noticed the stock TB was for the msot part completely plastic, and that the valve thing that turns in it was plastic and came bent, so it wasn't as big. the thing that turned wasn't completely straight and thin, so it itself was restricting air flow. definitely pleased with this upgrade. now just waiting upon magnaflow exhaust and my eibach sports system kit.

oh and what does "bump" mean on the marketplace thing? i see that all the time and have no clue what that means

Would you all recomend the BBK 66mm for $200 on or the CFM 67mm at $250? I've never heard any feeback of someone having the BBK 66mm?
would like to know as well

RecoilRob A couple observations about the 67mm CFM TB I just installed. Very nice piece of kit! The stock TB is 63mm...but has a VERY thick blade designed to restrict the airflow during light throttle. Of course the larger piece gives a LOT more air with much less throttle movement and make sure you set the TPS properly. The idle speed will stay under computer control with quite a bit of adjustment so turning the stop screw is really just adjusting the TPS as the computer looks for the lowest value and uses that for calibration.

Another thing...my stock TB would over-center at WOT, meaning it closed back down a little. This is NOT good! The new CFM would do this too....so a throttle stop was fashioned to stop it at 100% open. Check when you install the TB to make sure yours doesn't open past perpendicular.

My gas mileage actually increased a bit with the CFM TB! Reason is the throttle opening is less during cruise which keeps the timing up via the reduced TPS signal.

tukaniSVT Well, some people don't want to pay the money for such little to no gain. But for the SVT Focus, most of the parts are for drivability not power gain.

Meaning, each upgrade it helps the car move easier and reach it's power band quicker as well. Better throttle response from an upgraded TB is one of them.

The only N/A bolt on that really gains you across the powerboard are the upgraded Cats. The ORP or HFC.

I'm leaning about 90% in favor of getting it when I buy my CAI. The other 10% is unsure. I wish it were cheaper (can't believe the CAI costs less!!!) but I'm willing to shell out the cash for a quicker get up and go off the line.
Yeah, both sides seem to agree with better throttle response. I don't know why you wouldn't want better throttle response.

Gear Shifter i also just got a k&n typhoon short ram intake on my svt and soon about to get a cfm 67mm throttle body. If you want good money for a cat back exhaust go to fswerks.com they have good deals on everthing focus. And there exhaust for the svt is only $400 and it sounds better than borla and magnaflow. check them out they have some legit stuff.
