sleepyboy Not "probably" it IS cheaper lol

Blue5ive You can do 200 who na on a zetec but it will cost. Worked SVT head, big cams, crank up the compression and stroke it to 2.3. Combination of some or all of these will net 200+hp na. Probably cheaper to do a basic turbo on a stock head though.

iminhell 201whp is BS N/A.

If best I can do is ~180whp there's no way 200 is possible.
Fact.

amc49 They used to get over 450 HP out of SOHC Pintos with a single turbo, and those 2 valve heads were absolute crap as far as flow goes, 4 completely different intake ports there. The later 4V head was tailor MADE for boosting. Dunno about 700 HP but I can easily see 500+ and not blowing up for a while. There are people boosting like Mitsubishi AWD fours that run in the eights and the motors last a while doing it. Hard to believe but they do.

Normally aspirated fours cannot be compared to boosted, the power increase can be three times as much or more if you can get gaskets to stay put.

Are you serious? Of Course you cant get that kind of power out of a NA 4 cyl engine, the laws of physics deny it. There is not enough CI, you cant move enough 0.

To get that kind of power out of these engines they must be F/I. Not to be rude but it does not take a genius to figure that out.

Why do you keep comparing your NA Zetec engine to a F/I Zetec engine?

Does not compute.

Peace.

1turbofocus Which one the 500 , 600 , 700Hp one , do a search , you have questions find the answers there out there , there is no smoke and mirrors there is dynos , many magazines where I have been in running in the 11`s with my Focus and you dont do that with 400HP
Muscle Mustang and Fast fords
Hot Rod Mag
and a few more

As for VIR it isnt my fault that you didnt see my car at VIR it was there for the fall fling in 2002 to 2004 and we had a Focus event there with over 18 Foci on the track

Do a search its out there , dynos , magazines , post etc

LouBomb Jim's (roushturbo) focus reached 600+ hp on FI... so it is achievable... if you are at 200whp on FI you need to invest your cash on a different application lol
