Yeah, I was reserves. I have an older DD-214 from when I was released to my unit after OSUT, but I assumed I would be getting another one to say that I was released from military duty?

Maybe not? I don't know.. lol.

as far as i know, dd214's are only given to retired active duty, and earlier you stated your were in the reserves

WiscoGTI So now that I've been discharged.. do I get an updated DD214? All I have are my discharge orders.

I feel like my unit should have given me one, but I never got anything and honestly didn't even think about it until it was too late.

It effects everyone differently. And I don't have an inhaler, but I tried one once and saw no difference. I swear it's something to do with the weather/allergenics combo in Wisconsin because when I was in Missouri, I never had an issue.

GO.army.1969 My asthma has not stopped me my last AFPT I ran a 16 min two mile and im 43 years old. Running takes a lot of heart and an inhaler lol

Malibooya I can't blame you Ryan. My asthma is a big reason I never enlisted - I didn't want to be sidelined the same way.

WiscoGTI Nah. Like I said. I don't classify myself as disabled. And if I started pulling bennies, I feel like I'd be slapping my friends in the face. Friends who have been shot, shot at, blown up, came home with severe PTSD.. no thanks.

Just personal preference.
