klodkrawler05 lolz yea I've talked to him a couple times at Optima events. I get the impression he likes big power.

I have more modest aspirations, knowing how well I've done with 375whp ish I've got "modest" goals of 475-500whp from the new setup, should be relatively easy. my low under 4k RPM's power goals I don't need any more hp/tq than I have now although the LS3 could easily supply more (which is the rpm range on a typical auto-x) so I can do cam/flow mods to shift the power band and get more peak hp/tq up top where I'll use it on the road course.

at least thats the theory.

klodkrawler05 Mike Copeland? negative, currently working with Brent Malone as I guess thats who the ridetech guys use. Mostly just hoping to source the required adapters and such to make this a drop in plug/play swap and then potentially a hotter cam.

beat3rfocus Very nice. What parts are you looking to source from Lingenfelter? Dealing with Mike?

ayup! for auto-x I run SSM which allows swaps as long as they're from the same manufacturer which mine is.
for the Optima events they have no rules besides 200tw tires and over/under 3200lbs
for Gridlife time attack I've been running "street mod" which doesn't allow motor swaps and has a 285 wide tire limit, however since buying the 18x12s and 335's I have to move into "track mod" and track mod does allow motor swaps so I'm covered there too!

klodkrawler05 Morning all!

got great news today, new GMPP crate LS3 is going into my car this week! its a stock 6.2l that makes 450hp compared to my 5.7l that made 405hp, although I'm hoping a couple parts from Lingenfelter help widen the HP gap a bit more!
