Example 1, I bought coilover springs from a well known formula D guy in December ish and sent money as to a friend/family. we were both busy he kept in contact ok etc. suddenly its been a month and I realize I never got the springs I needed to get the e30 running, multiple emails/pms over a couple weeks and no response. I went through the paypal channels to try to get the money refunded/held and the email I got back from paypal was a very courteous **** you, you sent as money to a friend you can't take it back or expect us to help.

Example 2, same scenario different part but sent as goods/services, buyer flakes out etc. contact paypal again and within an hour money is back in my account sellers account is suspended etc.
So what ended up happening in both scenarios?

wordyahurdd I'm not sending to "family/friends", we are going through the 3% paypal fee's (we split it, I paid an extra $40 on-top of the agreed selling price).

For some reason paypal is dumb and when you send $ for "goods or services" if you don't specify your address at that screen before the payment goes through, paypal assumes its for a service which is intangible so my address wasn't attached to the transaction.
