It starts right up but doesn't want to run with the choke off and even then only will run on 2-3 cylinders unless I hand choke the cylinder by covering the carb intake with my hand and feather the throttle at the same time. Once all 4 are running it runs like a champ and I can kill it and start it right back up. I'm guessing the carbs just need to be disassembled and cleaned and the 37 year old rubber o-rings probably need replaced.

He threw on aftermarket air filter pods and a 4-1 aftermarket header exhaust and I don't think he ever jetted it correctly. Sounds a little funny when I get on it wide open and I'm guessing it runs a little lean as the #4 cylinder header pipe looks like it got hotter than the other 3.

I want to get it going, just need to make the time to do it. Maybe 3rd winters the charm!
Honestly doesn't sound that tough to clean up, I'd keep it if I were you. Thing is not losing its value, that's for sure.

yea that whole stock catalytic converter was clogged and made it slower than Wales mostly stock focus lol

once I got a gutted cat on there though she was lots of fun, no blower related issues other than the whole rest of the car being cursed.

I specified turbo. Supercharged is a slightly different story. I considered JRSC for Sasha, but didn't find kit for workable price.

R53 MCS is quite fun and very quick. Wouldn't want R56 though, since change to turbo
