FordFocus3 Like, the Focus C346 MCA is just such a cracking car, and the new powertrain now matches all of the highest highs that the Focus has always been renowned for... It really does make this a car very close to perfection...

Jburks dang, this would be perfect imo. I wish this was sold in America. I don't understand that logic at all.

04ZTSJelf ^This, I was hoping we got the zetec s version (1.6 ecoboost) but we obviously didn't. Then I saw the 1.5 eb coming out and had hopes it would land here. No dice. Maybe the mk4 will get that option.

RedDen I'm jealous...
1.5l EB with 6-speed automatic is available everythere except America. What the hell is wrong with Ford?!

There is no doubt 1.0l EB is a great engine but this is a joke for a vehicle like Focus. It is OK for Fiesta.

FordFocus3 Now, I'll start by apologising to everyone in the USA (most of you guys), as I've got a very lengthy list of accolades to heap upon our latest Australian spec facelift Mk.3 Focus with the new 1.5L Ecoboost with 6-speed Torque Converter Automatic. I can only imagine the pain you guys must feel with the old 2.0 GDI with DCT. The new powertrain is an absolute gem, the auto works brilliantly with the new gutsy turbocharged engine, its a killer combo. Nothing comes close in the class. The interior as you would know has been thoroughly revamped, its exceptionally well designed, a lot of small thoughtful touches and eradication of some quirks that the old model had. Our "base" model comes standard with 16 inch alloys, fog-lights, 8 inch Sync 2 with navigation and of course has that epic engine with either a 6 speed manual which is much nicer to shift than the ib5/mtx75 , or with a silky smooth 6 speed torque converter. Overall, it feels like a much more complete car, Ford have not only dotted the i's and crossed the t's, but they've gone all out in creating a cracking car. Indeed, there are no flaws bar the smallish boot (with full size wheel). The new interior and exterior updates, as well as the new powertrains, coupled with the slight improvements to the chassis and sound insulation, mean that it's even more serene inside, with a very solid feel in the way that it goes down the road. The steering and handling are once again spot on, and in summary the car feels ever so slightly lighter than the old one, but there's very little in separating them when it comes to handling. It's an absolute winner at every level, and sets a new benchmark; nothing, neither the Mazda3 nor the Golf come close. Without a doubt my next car. It is fabulous. The End.

Crwright I'm with you, the new front end just looks weak! No emotion from the front. To bad.
