LStillman What accessories do you plan on keeping, power steering, ac, ABS ect?
I'm currently working on a 2.3 duratec with the EMS-4 in a mazda 3 current issues trying to resolve are the alternator, and power steering.

Such similar platforms, so these issues if you are aiming at keeping them should have the same fixes.
