I am extremely mad and disappointing reading this Forum again, that there are still problems with this clutch and that Ford has failed to acknowledge the pain and suffering of many Focus owners.
I am making the trip to the dealer today, to discuss my options and look at the possibility of getting rid of this unreliable piece of Ford junk.
Hey STEWEN,

I'm happy to look into this to see how I can help bring that Focus excitement back again. Please PM your name, VIN, current odometer reading, dealer, and best daytime phone number, and I'll get started.

Thanks for pointing STEWEN my way, Todd! :)

Hey zuckus,

I'm Todd, and will be helping Meagan out on the forum for a short while. I see she's escalated this to your CSM, who will be reaching out to you by phone on Monday. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask; I'm here as a resource.

I had the same experience that you mentioned, with my problems returning in the warm weather. My first and only winter with the focus most of the "normal" symptoms disappeared and the tranny ran well. (until the next summer)

Well that's good to hear. We must have gotten lucky. I took my wife's 12 Ti in back in Feb and the parts came in within 3 weeks (Western Canada). Sounds like alot more are coming up now though.

Fix is pretty good though, no more shuddering for ours, and no more grinding either which was my bigger concern. We even had +30C weather earlier this week, the shifts become a little bit longer it seemed but no shuddering, just.. different. Much better than previous summer hot days where it would go nuts in stop and go traffic.

Good luck!

Typically, there is a relearn period post repairs like this. I'll be happy to check out some additional assistance. Please PM me your VIN, mileage, best daytime phone, full name, and dealer name/location.

Scougar filled with confidence in my vehicle purchase. I'm sure the wife will be extremely happy if it goes wrong on me, given she thought I shouldn't buy this one (but another ford focus se .. still DCT though lol).
