save_HUTCH I have the Steeda on my 08. Had it on there for about a year and 14K miles. Never a problem. It is loud but the Race exhaust remedied that.

Blue5ive Engine overheating that's funny. It doesn't contribute to engine overheating in any way shape or form. Your intake temp is never gonna be over 200 degrees max. How hot do you think the combustion chamber gets? Way way hotter than that haha. It doesn't contribute to higher under hood temps either. Whoever said that has no idea what they talking about. If you want one then get one and be happy.

streetlight7 Cool, I really appreciate the feedback everyone. I know the CAI is a little bit better, but I've always liked the short ram more for some reason. I've just heard a lot about the short ram making the engine overheat and stuff, which is probably an over exaggeration.

tukaniSVT I roll around with a Short Ram and it doesn't both me too much ... but then again, I don't drive it around too often anymore during these more extensive triple digit heat waves.

But I would say that you should be fine.

Performance wise, the Cold-Air is better, but not by much.

streetlight7 I don't mind loud cars, as long as they sound right, not like a ricer.......

Blue5ive Have had mine for about 9 months and did not affect mileage at all. Mine only gets loud under wide open throttle. Real aggressive sounding. Doesn't bother me but would maybe like it a little quoted but only for more stealth reasons.

Fo' SHO I had the steeda SRI and I really didnt like it. . Even when it was cool my car ran like it was 110 outside and killed my gas mileage. I have no hard evidence behind both of those, though. Main reason I got rid of it was that it ALWAYS sounded like I was hard on the throttle flooring it everywhere when I drive like a granny. Anyone who knows me, knows I hate loud cars, so it had to go!!

I have the K&N FIPK now and love it. Still has some issues, but its only loud when I want it to be :)
