I have an xcal2 from my old car but I would need to sent it to SCT to be unlocked before I can use it.
Do you guys think it would be worth it to upgrade to the xcal3?

Most of my driving is on 2 lane 55 mph country roads. The increase in mpg is great, but the FUN factor is better!|

Yes you can buy a Custom tune with FREE updates as you add more NA mods for 150.00 the big thing buying uses flashers is you must make sure they are unlocked
If some one sells a flasher and they still have the tune flashed to there car and didnt restore the stock tune then the SCT XCAL is locked and you wont be able to use the XCAL to load tunes
Slo86GT For 399.00 and 20.00 shipping you get the xcal3 , full custom tune , FREE updates as you add more NA mods
If you have a xcal or buy a used xcal my custom tune with FREE updates is 150.00

|oblivion2kx||if you buy a sct x3 tuner off of ebay... lets say it was used for a mustang, can you still use it on a focus when you buy a custom tune from tom?|

|chaz493||Gotta say the Xcal is possibly the best mod i have done to my car. Not only did it give me more power everywhere in the rpm range, it also increased my gas mileage dramatically.|

|st12131||Its generally around $400 for a tune and it comes on an xcal 3. If you get it from Tom then new tunes are free! Other companies charge for updates and or new tunes.|

So just curious, what are the typical costs of the xcal's? Then $150 on top of that for a log-based remote tune?
I'm definitely curious about this on my new car. I suppose I should get an intake and exhaust to take advantage of the tune as much as possible.
