Maybe it only works in sport mode in cars with that feature. Either way I wouldn't do it alot.
Can't be good for clutches.
^just my opinion^

When you take off, your cup get refilled.
I find it hard to remember when to use lunch, lauch and launch... I know what goes where, I just never remember to write it correctly... Ah well, English is not my mother tongue. I am always learning.

Need the last step as well, release the brake to "lunch" after it revs up.
Does lunch mode deploy extra cup holders/tray tables?

he means LAUNCH mode... jeez, what is this, reddit?
However, Jelf is right that you don't need to put it in sport, drive will work as well... its all computer controlled, so all you are doing, is telling the car to disengage the clutch packs and let the engine free-rev...

I don't know if this has been posted before, but with the DCT, there's a lunch mode.
Put the car in Sport (S) mode.
Press the brake very hard.
While keeping a foot on the brake, press the gas pedal.
The engine will rev up to 2500 RPM.
