The PCM might react faster but the actual action of the Ford DCT is slower than a human doing the changing and that shows with the acceleration numbers.
Plus the worst you will do to the manual tranny is likely just roast your one clutch disc which is like a fuse anyway but the DCT has a lot more vulnerability with more moving parts. Plus fixing a DCT is inherently more costly.

That's exactly where I keep my phone.
Would post a pic, but I no longer own a regular camera.. lol

Not sure if this was ever covered here, but I love that my non-Touch radio unit allows me to use a 4" Garmin GPS placed right in front of the secondary LCD where I can see it very clearly without it obstructing the front view. The dash panel "visor" in this area securely holds GPS unit jammed on top of CD slot. This is a very convenient place for the GPS unit, much better way than using a supplied suction cup holding it attached to the sloped windshield.
This way I save a lot on Touch version of the radio (plus it has many issues on its own), and the portable GPS unit with lifetime map updates allows me to get the latest maps for free several times a year. In my experience it stays there no matter how bumpy road is, and it takes seconds to install or remove.

Maybe it only works in sport mode in cars with that feature. Either way I wouldn't do it alot.
Can't be good for clutches.
^just my opinion^

When you take off, your cup get refilled.
I find it hard to remember when to use lunch, lauch and launch... I know what goes where, I just never remember to write it correctly... Ah well, English is not my mother tongue. I am always learning.

Need the last step as well, release the brake to "lunch" after it revs up.
Does lunch mode deploy extra cup holders/tray tables?
