The fswerks focus for the shoot out was ran with stock cams with the 2.3 Ford racing heads and Turbo plus other things and put down 400 HP. If you're gonna Turbo they have a complete kit to Turbo the 2.0 duratec on stock internals. I haven't seen any reviews on the durability of the kit but 11psi with the 10:1 compression isnt superhuge but I'd at least replace the gasket and get some arp head studs just to be safe.
If youre stop and go traffic I don't recommend cams or turbos either way your gas bill will increase. The only real mod I can see being drivable in town and letting it off the chain everynow and then would be a nitrous system. I have a 20 shot in my 91 rx7 other then that and exhaust I haven't bumped up the power. I still have a very tame traffic vehicle and can still play around with other people in their rides. But I would still replace the head gasket and get arp studs. And have it professionally installed so you don't blow up your motor by going lean. That was a mistake I didn't like learning.

|Jtorch1116||The issue is that I do deliveries for my Job from time to time but not far ones and not to the point where it's affecting my car. But I'm putting new lighter rims on mine and FS Werks race exhaust with my k&n intake. After that I wanted an oil cooler to remain cool in these hot days in Florida. I am thinking about a turbo with an intercooler at very low psi to not ruin the stock internals, it I have an automatic which kills on my options with mods. 😔|

No idea actually I was forced to get rid of the car due to losing my job. But if you want a camshaft for you 2010 I would go with the crower cam sold by massivespeedsystems.com the cosworth worked if you don't mind a cel all the time for a cam angle sensor and not being able to start your car without having to crank and recrank and crank again and pray your next cranking is close to tdc. I'm sure power wasn't all that it could have been with the older style camshafts but it was fun. As far as driveabilty yes its a very tame camshaft but stop and go traffic ate my fuel like it was free. A lot was due to my original tune. My car was tuned for Alaska air. 0-100 foot elevations and an outside air temp that never saw more then low 90's.... ever.... so I was sucking in some pretty dense air already. So add more air and a the cam angle sensor issue I would go much leaner then I should have been and the car compensates with more gas. I would be lucky to get 19mpg in town. Good thing Alaska towns are small. I got 32 highway with the cams doing 80mph. Before the cams I was getting 35 city and 42 highway so its a big difference at $4.40/gal it got a little better when I moved to Texas to a high elevation. Less air in and less fuel was being dumped away. I got a small bump in city 22mpg. And highway dropped below 30 MPG @80mph but gas is cheaper.
So if you want cams just know you'll lose MPG but gain grinabiltiy.
Drivabilty is dependant on the person I guess. Can you put up with the drop in MPG and loud noise. Then yes its drivable with the mild cams.
But don't use the cosworths they weren't meant for the new motor. Like posted before massive sells cams made by crower that have the shutter wheel required by the 2008-11. And they are cheaper.

Update! Sorry for the long time since I first posted this topic. But here is the nitty gritty
As far as the cosworth cams they were still in the car.
I say were beacause as of last March I had to sell the car because I lost my job. Sad is me.
But for those who have been waiting for an 08 cam they do make them now for the 08+ models. Yay us. I know massive speed systems sells them and I need to check but I'm sure they are a crower cam
Which reminds me of the saying, all good things come to he or she who waits.

AEM dry filter. (Awesome for those who don't like the oil sucked into the maf sensor)

17 inch Ford racing wheels wraped in falkens
Beat my neighbors svt with cold air , exhaust and tune so I was happy
I'm going to rebuild this 91 rx7 convertible I picked up so I'm not gonna be doing a focus for a while. But I plan on visiting this site still

I wonder how feasible it would be to make a ferrous trigger wheel that could bolted/welded onto the end of a 2003-2007 camshaft that had the trigger wheel grounded down.
That is the easiest thing I can think of short of paying for a custom grind.
