New member here! I signed up a week ago and just received a reminder that I have not posted anything yet. This is a great site and I have been reading the posts to help me out on my focus problems.
Long story short, I recently purchased an 2004 Focus SVT. I have driven it like 5 times. First 40 miles, the engine light comes on with a running lean code. I'm not a mechanic but I am willing to learn. That is how I found this website. I cleaned the MAF sensor to eliminate the easier fixes, but before I could even determine if this was the fix, I have a massive coolant leak- plastic heater tube? had a 4-in split.
Once I finally replaced the part, I take it out again and completely lose pressure in the clutch peddle. I learned the clutch was hydraulic and shares the brake fluid reservoir with the brake system- which by the way seemed to fail on me when I was limping the car back home. At this point my excitement to fix the car is waning. I am now taking it to a mechanic. Thanks to everyone who is writing "How tos" and providing pictures. It really helps the lurkers out there.

I drive a Ford Fiesta MK6 , I know that this is a Focus forum but I have many questions about the Duratec 2.0 16v that have the focus because I have the engine on my garage and I would like to have it on the Fiesta . Unfortunatly the Festa ST is not available on the market so I have to made it myself . I m now trying to map a stand alone ecu (AEM EMS-4 ) but I'm having too much issues to make it start . It would be very helpful if someone with this knowledge can help me.

My wife and I recently bought two 05 Focus.. ZX3 stick and ZXW automatic
focusfanatic.com has been very helpful in deciding to buy these cars and getting to the bottom of issues and decisions.. I am not a car nut but I am not afraid to get dirty to keep a vehicle on the road as long as I can..
I may be a bit of a troll but I am glad there are friendly focusfanatics to help when I need it

Great Site! Wife drives a 2000 Focus Wagon. Gets great mileage 80 mile round trip to work 5 days a week, therefore I get to wrench on it . Most things are straight forward. When they are not I check online, I have a Dodge Dakota and love the Dodge forum to update and share knowledge. I thought it was time to find a similar site for her ford. So far, Great photos of the customizability of these Fords.

Newbie here :)
Hey guys (and gals),
I am a 21 year old guy from Grand Rapids, Michigan and I drive a completely stock black 2005 Focus zx4 ST and love it. It has no rust, 178,000 on it and still running strong! I absolutely love ford focus' and love seeing people who mod and aftermarket their cars. I am a single dad, so I am poor lol and can't do any upgrades/aftermarket stuff. I really have no need, my focus is zippy enough. I am in college, and yea, love my focus!! I really don't know much lingo as far as cars go, but love fast. F. A. S. T. I am curious, however, if there is any cheap (yes, I mean cheapppppppp way) to upgrade my car? I know, 178k, so I will do nothing major to it. :) have a blessed day.

Hi everyone. This might be the first time that I ever posted in a forum. I bought a 2013 focus Titanium hatchback with a 5 speed. Comes fully loaded with the Titanium package, well I guess I could use a garage door opener. First manual transmission I've had so I'm loving it. Definitely one of the best cars I ever owned.

Hey, I've actually been a member since June but, I've never posted anything.
I drive a 2013 Sterling Grey SE Hatchback with the dct auto. I haven't done a lot to it yet.
I have the windows tinted and just added a K&N air filter.
I have a list of things that I would like to do but $$$$ is kinda tight right now.
I hope to someday lower it, get dual exhaust and shave the emblems and I'm sure Ill get plenty more ideas here.

New Focus ST
I just got a race red 2013 Focus ST in August. Still getting used to torque steer and brakes after driving other cars (big difference!).
Driving is fun again after driving an SUV. I used to race a 240Z and have my 240Z that I bought in 1972. The ST handles better, is faster, and I sometimes go out my way to drive further in the ST.
I have two minor disappointments: I did not get any add on packages so I don't have a place for my sunglasses. and the coin slots are in view so they are useless in my urban environment.
What do you use to clean the wheels? the spaces are so small I can't find anything to clean it. And what about cleaning the rear window under the air dam?
Due to my driving style, I'm averaging about 24 mpg in mixed city/freeway driving. But on a freeway trip, I kept the speed down and got 29.5.
Zarquon in Oakland.
