pkolator I'm aiming to do at least one event down there this season.

Have fun and maybe I'll see you down there later this season or a at Chicago region, Tri-state or Indiana northwest region event.

wrc_fan ^^ Yeah, that plus the 15.10 I. which states that exhaust manifolds and mufflers are free.

Dean2 Right, it's an SVT. Sorry about that.

Thanks for the help. So "emission control devices may be modified or removed" covers the cat? I searched the rulebook for catalytic and came up empty on references to removal.

Pkolator - This will be my sixth season. I'll be running at Rantoul with CCSCC. The surface is poor, but it's a good group of people and a nice drive through the sticks if you get off the interstate. (It's a shame what passes for a nice drive in northeastern IL!)

pkolator A tune won't move the car any "higher". Tunes are SP legal.

Slightly off topic...

Where are you racing?

Furthermore, I am a proponent of seeking out experienced people to help me learn things I am new to...Chicago Region Learning Curve

leh0825 yeah you would be in the DSP or a SP...... with a tune you'll be bumped up some more.....

wrc_fan I assume an '03 EAP is an SVT focus... Cat delete will put you into DSP (D Street Prepared). Your other mods listed are OK with the street prepared classes.

Class help

I'll be running my first autox of the season Saturday!!! I guess I should figure out which class I'll be running in.

I couldn't find anything on cat deletes in the 2011 rulebook, so I figured I'd wimp out and ask you guys. Maybe I'm just blind? Here are the mods (that I know of):

Cat delete
Slotted rotors (OEM aren't slotted are they?)
Upgraded motormounts
Wider intake snorkel
K&N filter

Later, I'll be getting an ECU tune.

So, where am I now and will the tune change anything? I figure the cat delete will bump me up so high that none of the other stuff matters. Oh, and the tires are not R-comps.

Thanks!
