|whmoore18||In my 2008 I've had problems with the MAP sensor for some reason due to wires being severed and a leaky power steering pump line.|

*knock on wood* I have had just regular repairs my 08 SE. Things such as, oil, tires, brakes, clutch (once), I had to do my sway bar end links, and valve cover gasket but that's about it. There's almost 114,000mi on it right now. Starts right up when I need it to and has never *knock on wood* left me stranded.

I bought mine used, and it had been poorly maintained. It had a number of things wrong because the previous owners had not done repairs and maintenance as it came up. My husband was convinced it had problems that it turned out not to have. So he didn't want to spend anything on fixing it.
After he passed, I was going to replace it, but the more I talked to people about what symptoms it had, I realized it was fixable for less than I'd spend on another car.
So while I've been replacing a lot of parts, it's mainly been things that should have been done long before I even bought it.
It's 15 yeas old. I bought it about 3 years ago. It has over 200K on it, but the engine and tranny are still good. After I fix the current issue, (alternator) and install the rest of the parts I've already bought, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it a long trip.

|TimmyATC||I've owned my 2010 Focus SE, with 112000 miles, for a little over 5 years and have done a few repairs on it. Most recently I replaced the valve cover gasket. I have replaced the front disc brake pads and rotors. I do a lot of highway driving so my brakes are still in pretty good condition. The biggest fix I've had to do involved the PCM computer. My car would jolt when it shifted from 3rd to 4th gear. I replaced the shifting solenoid but that didn't solve the problem. I ended up replacing the PCM with a used one. After a little experimenting with programming it using Ford's software I was able to fix it up and it has been running good as new since then (about 2.5 years ago). I have really enjoyed my Focus and think it is a very good car overall. I haven't spent a lot on repairs as I have been able to do all of them myself.|

I've owned it for 6 years. 102k on the odo. So far:
-Alternator (alternator itself was fine, but the clutch bearings went bad on it and started rattling)
-Idler & tensioner pulleys (weren't giving me issues but I replaced them while I had the alternator off)
-Rotors and pads on all 4 (twice)
-Swing arms and struts all the way around (also did this voluntarily when I installed FRP suspension)
-Swaybar endlinks up front
-Reverse lights switch
Overall, it's been a great car and it's never left me stranded.

My 2014 quit recognizing the key so it wouldn't start. Ring antenna at the ignition was cracked and not seated properly. There was a service note on it. Fixed under warranty.
Bigger issue was Ford road service left me stranded when it happened. Middle of Syracuse NY during the weekday and they could not get it towed. Had to call AAA.
No issues with my 2015 so far.

I have 3 Foci, 00' ZX3, 05' ZX4, 03' SVT I have to say, the ZX3 is the best of the 3 (no pun intended) but i do PM stuff whenever possible so i can keep up with maintenance on all of them.
Preventative Maintenance, hoses, belts fluid, etc...
