ChrisRobin Ditto. I don't know if Tom loaded the tune on the Predator before hand, or if I'm supposed to get an email from him, but I installed whatever custom tune was on it and it changed the way the SVT felt. Less of a pain in the ass to drive now.

I have Tom's tune and I was really impressed with how it woke up my zetec. It shifts alot firmer and runs cooler and over all I gained alot of power I don't know how much but it's alot faster. Between 2-3 it pulls really hard I was like wow this is a 4 cylinder? I bet I could keep up with a older stock 5.0. Thanks Tom

03OrangeSVT A tune improves your overall performance and drivability.

Granted your "peak" numbers wont be alot higher but your power under the curve will greatly improve.

For example on an SVT you only get around 8wtq more at peak.... but in the lower rpms you make almost 30wtq more than stock.

1turbofocus There are hundreds of changes made to
Fuel
timing
rpm
rear o2
evap
IACV
fans
adaptive learning
knock sensor
EGR

and so much more and with tuning from me you get FREE updates

1turbofocus Yes a tune helps even for 87 , a tune does a lot more then just performance , with your mods a wide band wouldnt hurt to have ,

I sell the xcal3 for 399.00 and 20.00 for shipping with free updates as you add more mods

flipwilly2 You would get timing boost, fuel distribution and pressure boost, tranny pressure boost and shift points changed, rev limit and top speed limits removed, and more. The tune really changes the way they run and, I feel, for the better!

Noob to tuning question

Are the power gains from a tune just from tuning timing to higher octane fuel or are there other factors at play?

Say just for info that I got a tune based on staying at 87 octane would I feel an improvement for any reasons?

If I got a tune I would base it on 91 octane but just want to better understand what it does...
