MrTerryToYou This is a great write up bro. I have the 3 pod a-pillar and an air fuel ratio gauge an oil pressure gauge and a water temp gauge all glow shift. I still have to setup the water temp gauge and I have to rewire my oil pressure sender. The cable melted from the previous owner installing in a ty way. So now it shorts out randomly and the gauge goes all wonky but the air fuel gauge is great and they look awesome.

RDelacourt Hi there, great post! where did you get the male and female parts?

Djzx3 I figured I'd leave those three pic's up there so people can use them to decide weather they want tinted gauge or not tinted. The one on the right is tinted and the one on the left is not.

Here is pic's of how it is now with both being tinted.

I think I like blue the best.

Djzx3 Just wanted to add that it was my mistake apparently that I ordered one not tinted for the oil, but Glowshift said send it to them and they would exchange it for one that is as long as it's got no scratches which it doesn't. Glowshift is awesome and will work with you as long as your reasonable in your demands, I said I had it installed already so could I trade just the gauge for another and they said yup no problem as long as it's still in good shape. Two for Glowshift gauges.

Djzx3 Yea I already went to Autozone and got some rubber protection for the wire's going through the fire wall.

The only thing I noticed is, the oil gauge isn't tinted and my water temp is, so I am going to just send back the oil gauge itself and there going to send me a tinted one since it wasn't my mistake, when I ordered the oil one it should have been tinted. So I'll just send back the gauge and not the wiring and get one that is tinted. Simple fix, Glowshift is very co-operative when it comes to a mistake on their part.

JCH841 Nice writeup and pictures. Two little things, if you're trying to get the "tubing" from the hardware store, technically it is called a pipe nipple and I'd use a grommet where the wire goes through the firewall to prevent chaffing the insulation. Not that any of us drive in a manner to cause vibration or flexing.

Djzx3 My dad brought it to work and drilled it out with a Bridgeport drill press.

The only difference is that metal line isn't there any more I got the new sensor in there.

Indy'sexclusiveZx3 So where did you hook the water temp gauge up to?
01-23-2011 03:19 PM
Djzx3 Up-dated with the new glowshift gauge for the water temp.

Djzx3 Thank you, And for anyone wondering I got a water temp gauge sitting right next to me to replace that autozone one, and I will replace the bad pic's with good one's of the two Glowshift gauges.

This water temp gauge is soo much better too, Just wire's no metal tubing.
