|ranger97||I have a 2011 5 speed. I want to remove the battery box and the metal plate underneath ("reinforcement") to inspect the area. However, it looks as if there is something bolted to the plate that is suspended from it. Is this the transmission mount and how can I safely take the plate under the battery box free?|

|felixthecat||What mount are you needing or trying to replace? The bottom one is a roll restictor, in that it resticts the motor from rolling back & forth. Other words know as a ''Dogbone" cause of it shape. then you have two on top, one on the drivers side under the battery box. And another on the passenger side party hidden by the Degas bottle. If your replacing the Dogbone, upgrade to the poly mounts one.|

I noticed the Anchor Transmission Mount (picture in post) has a different rubber center section than stock Transmission Mount.
Is this design / mount worse than stock?
Is it better to purchase an OEM Ford Transmission Mount?
