I just had mine replaced at a local transmission shop with the LUK complete kit with new flywheel.
Question though, should the clutch friction point be different?? I now find the friction point close to the floor. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually but hopefully before I'm on a hill at a red light.
Is it normal for a clutch friction point to be different depending on the aftermarket parts you put in??

|bigdukesix||I used a cherry picker to move the engine forward and lower the transmission so the tab at the rear would clear the k member. came out with no trouble.|

|ClutchDeath||I finally got it out sub-frame wasn't too bad. I think my cables are slightly off though. Its kinda hard to go into reverse.|

|bigdukesix||take header off, move engine forward, rotate trans so axle hole is pointed towards floor, then tilt the trans so the input shaft points up and lower at same time and it will drop out.|

|ClutchDeath||I'm stuck on the back of the trans hanging up on the sub-frame looks like I'm going to have to drop it. Such a pain in the ass.|

|Maxxb0y||Just bought a 2002 SVTF and the clutch slipped days after the as is sale. ford is looking to replace the clutch at the employee price. i said i can get the LuK w/ fw for 500 and he said he would put it on for 400. I think i am going this route . at least the car will not be down so long . dont really have the tools or the time to do it myself. something to be said about it coming back right the first time.|

My stock clutch went at 99k (flywheel started shuddering) and the Clutchmaster Stage 1 installed by Massive started slipping at 125k and total burnup shortly after. Went back to stock, been happy. No more flywheel chatter, lighter clutch pedal, smoother engagement, same performance.
Aftermarket is a joke. The LuK is the most durable, easiest to live with clutch for the SVTF.
