I have a 02 svt and the column control has me confused... from what I have read....
white/black - grey/black = RCA sub input
white/red = remote turn on from radio
are these the only 3 wires needed to use the sub with a aftermarket head unit?
or do I need to hook the brown/yellow up to power also? to power the sub or does the sub already get power from the harness elsewhere?
Thanks the column control just thrown in the mix on the first page confuses me.

I have a Kenwood KDC-BT958HD put in. I just wired up the speakers and the sub last night. But I still have to steering control to do. The Third Ford harness still has a green/white, TWO yellow/browns, and a white/black wires left on it which go to the steering control I think. I have a wire on my Kenwood harness that is for the steering wheel control I just need to know what wires go to it and if there needs to be a power wire sent to the steering control and if that should be from the battery or the ignition. Thank You.

Wired My Stock Sub w/New Kenwood HU!
I just got my SVTF 4 months ago and was getting around to doing this. I finally did it today and it works great! Only thing is that I cut the wrong white/black wire and was getting a humming sound when connecting the sub. When I realized my mistake and used the right white/black wire, all was good. I mounted a Kenwood KDC-BT755HD HU if anyone would like to know. Thanks for the write up!

|PlaneCarBoat||Okay so the wiring looks fairly simple. The only question I have is where do I plug the RCA cable into on my head unit? Here is my HU.|

|kevinw1797||I got it. It was my head unit. I had another Kenwood and it is fine. Works great.|

|Stlsinger||Mine was solid blue and thick. And I had to cut it out of the harness. Use a test light with the key on|

Yeah I checked. My unit has a specific blue/white wire for sub output. I am wondering if it is not my head unit. I have another unit I am going to hook up and try.

|Stlsinger||Make sure you use the right blue wire for power.|

I just wanted to say that I have an 03 ZTS with the audiophile system. I have read through ALL of this plus the other posts. I am very clear with all of the pictures, descriptions and discussions and I am 100 percent sure that I have everything hooked up correctly. I have triple checked my connections which are soldered in. The only thing I am not certain of is my head unit. It is a Blaupunkt Memphis MP66 and it does have a sub output along with the ability to turn it on and to adjust it. The problem is that I get NO sound out of my amp or sub. It worked perfectly a couple of days ago before I attempted the switch. Its got me really scratching my head. Any ideas?

So I have an issue I haven't seen in here yet. I have no issue with the blue /white wire from the hu, however I have an RCA cable with a white/black grey black wire attached to it. Ive traced these wire and they are in with the vehicle harness. Are these the wires I should be using or do they go to something else? I took a photo but it's not letting me and it from my phone.
Also what port in the head unit is this RCA supposed to plug into?
