8th of November (1965)

I know that Memorial Day is the last Monday in May, but today is another day to remember.

At first, our military's role was to serve only as "advisors" (sound familiar), but that quickly escalated. I had just finished high school and was trying to figure out "What next?" when the picture began to get clearer that there was probably an all-expenses-paid trip to an exotic place half-way around the world in my future.

BOMBtech001 Ollo! Can't say the "H-word" anymore... It's banned in EOD. Love my job, love the military 11+ years with a 2.5 year break in the middle when overseas tours were piling up and back to back.

Enjoyed time in the RoK and Iraq, but regret missing out on Afghanistan.
