Red01Focus yeah like said above the really dont move at all around so i wouldn't bother to put the center ones in

norcalfocus01 Just be real careful the gas tank is plastic and right under the rear passenger seat. A self tapping screw could easily go right into the tank.

desponge thanks guys, i just bolted them up i culd wait to get them in before i heard anyones post lol, i had to put i small piece of carpet foam under the driveside rear seat in order for in to sit right because i didnt bolt the otherside up. i am probably goin to selftap them tomorrow

slipster17 I did the SVT interior swap on my ZX3 (2001) and never bothered with figuring out the center two bolts. Seats hold fine without them (going on 3 years with this interior)

tkheaven Sounds about right..not that I've ever owned an SVT or plan on doing this sort of gutting.. but it makes sense... :)

Focus'd So we should just bolt them in and forget about the centers or drill some in but first check where we're drilling.

Alex Arce thats wierd my zx3 had all the holes needed for the svt seats to bolt up with no problem. im just assuming since both of your cars are both pre SVT you dont have the proper holes already drilled. but i agree with RSVT170 just dont bolt them up
04-01-2010 11:07 PM
goinloco1 DO NOT do the above without first checking whats behind where your going to drill. there's all sorts of lines and stuff back there, make sure the area is clear. :)

RSVT170 I have done this swap. Pesonally, I just never bolted in the two center brackets, and it works fine. If you really want them to be bolted in, you could use wither some large self tapping screws (Be sure to use some rubber washers) or drill the holes, then tack weld nuts into place from under the car on the back side then use a regular bolt to secure them in.

Focus'd I'm actually about to do the swap as well, this would help alot if I knew what to do before I start gutting.
