LastRites Damn this is an old thread and it's been discussed before, I know I posted in those threads too. Yes I have raced a Tibby GT with a Jet chip, exhaust, and Injen CAI. Dusted him fairly well and we ran multiple times as it was a fellow that I worked for that had it. He was pissed but so goes life.

Anywho, I still think that the GT is an awesome performance bargain with an incredible amount of potential. I really do think I would have no problem with purchasing one. Of course I did spend the past year in Korea with the Tuscani's (same thing pretty much) and the stuff that they have for the cars aftermarket like turbos, body kits, etc. is mind blowing and I am envious to some degree. I have to admit that the single most outstanding car that I have ever seen with a body kit was a Tuscani with an insane black & red theme going on. Didn't have a camera that day but if I did you would all know exactly what I mean. There is also the video on the "internets" that clearly displays the power potential of the car in the form of an S/C Tibby pulling like a freight train on a tuned SRT-4

Tibby GT....that car is hella cool with me

They weren't able t launch the SVT right either so that makes sense...

You have heard correctly. And from what I hear, those transmissions have trouble getting alot of that power from the engine to the wheels.

TwighlightBlueZx5 korean garbage lol, dont like them for v6's they are slow , spank even modded v6 tibsall night...and the 4 cyls are a joke.....

rockthezx3 I raced a guy with a 6 cyl tiburon with an exhaust and intake. We raced from a 10mph roll, getting onto the highway with him in front of me, and I beat him pretty easily up to 110 or something, by quite a few lengths (yeah, street racing, sorry. It was on the highway with no cars around at all at around 12 at night, no danger to anyone but ourselves...and for the record, I dont like to street race anymore). We talked after, he just said my car was quick, no excuses as to why he lost or nothing. Not bashing tiburons or anything, just telling my story.

beefbusta I raced a stock tib GT with my duratec and took him til 100 MPH, damn v6's.

COSVT03 I spanked some wanna-be-thug in a Tib GT-V 6 by about 1-1/2 cars by 3rd gear. Not to bash but I dun think your ZX-3 would win.

mconrada They are chubby bastards but very tourquy. I can break traction from a roll just by mashing the pedal in the tib... what can I say I love Foci and Tibs.

focusedintentions I ran a Tib last night...beat it on a roll....keep in mind i have a SVT. But i will say this...there is no replacement for displacement...no matter how much you mod a 2l zetec, the v6 tib will make more power once modded. regular zx3 won't be a stock v6 tib w/o alot of bolt ons. The saving grace the focus has is it's weight advantage. If you could put the tib on a serious diet there would be no way for us to keep up w/o doing our v8 swap...but that's a diff story all together.

Remember folks...u can go as fast as you want to go...just depends how much money you want to spend. Also remember...there is always, and i mean always, someobody faster out there!
