rockthezx3 When I had my zetec zx3, I was running 16.4 with just an intake and exhaust, and getting worse 60' times than you, and I shifted at 6000 every run. Better luck next time.

jerryzx3 I think that is a decent time for the mod he has and all the extra weight, its not an 03' so he don't have the same hp as them. run with less gas and remove everything you can and you will get down to low 17's. You are going to need alot more mods to get any faster though. Good luck

tunedfocuzx3 i wouldnt be sure about the "validity" of any of them. i dont trust beltronics for anything more than reaction time.

Update

I went out tonight to run some 1/4 mile with the Beltronic… here’s the results:

1) 16.22 @ 85.2 (not sure about the validity of this one)
2) 16.40 @ 83.4
3) 16.50 @ 82.7
4) 16.55 @ 82.6
5) 16.55 @ 82.7
6) 16.60 @ 81.8
7) 16.85 @ 82.2
8) 16.98 @ 80.5
9) 17.02 @ 79.0

So, on average 16.6, right where I thought I should be.

I launched at 2500rpm and shifted at 5500rpm (fall to 4000rpm on the following gear). I’ve also always finished in 4th.
I have no idea how and what I did to finish in 3rd at the track… the rpm tonight was climbing too much to stay in 3rd all the way.

I can’t wait to get a better official time at the track. It might have to wait until next spring though, the track season is near the end.

tunedfocuzx3 Karifan, if you still got those heffer subs in the back u might run low 18's. Take them out then you'd probably run mid to high 16s hopefully.

Cruzn2aFSTfocus Try to get those Motegis off the front and the stock back on. I also have Motegis and they are HEAVY. I think that should help you out a little. Also if you have friends take out ur spare and place it in one of their cars.

Karifan not to hijack this thread but what can I expect with an auto tranny, below is the short list of my mods:

K&N FIPKII
FC 65 mm TB (ported)
Borla CatBack
KYB GR2 allround suspension
Pirelli p6 4 season tires.

I will be going to the track at Maple Grove tomorrow to find out for myself.
But what can I expect? mid 16/s? or higher

mconrada I'm mildly modded and finish in fourth... best time so far was a 15.63 with a 60ft time of 2.17. Use the beltronic to practice your launches... I've found it best to slightly feather the clutch than to just drop it.
