|Magus2727||It up to you, takes just a few min and fairly basic tools to swap out the rear mount. not sure what the fswerks shop would charge you for installation. Not to mention you already found a great how to, to follow.|

|Fierceintent||Alright thanks for your reply. I just recently found out I'm located near a Fswerks shop. I might just take it there to install the Vf Part mentioned in this thread.|

VF are some of the best mounts out there. but another option are the Massive ones. I think they cost less than the VF but still provide a good rear dog bone mount.
"So installing this will fix my horrible clunking sound/pop" It may, it depends on if the mount is the cause. pop the hood, turn the car on using the E-brake get out and now open the TB by hand. how much rotation does the motor do when you rev? if the motor moves more than an inch or so then its likely a bad motor mount. this often leads to the passenger mount also going bad early.
This thread however is not to diagnose or even identify what mount to get. Rather it is a "How To". You can get help identifying specifics and other questions / problems with better results if you post a new thread or find one that is more accurate to your questions.

|Fierceintent||If the VF ones work then just stick with those. So installing this will fix my horrible clunking sound/pop. It's really weird and sounds horrible. (just bought the car, new at stick)|

|LiciouzSVT||I've did this mod on about 6 different foci and it took no longer than 30 mins each time. I guess I have just had some pretty good luck with the bolts coming right out. It could be that I am just a beast!|

|Magus2727||pick up a set of ratchet straps do you can position the engine / transmission for the install... The engine is not balance weight wise with the transmission attached so the assembly will shift as a result of having more weight on one side vs the other... the factory side mounts are "soft" so will provide more movement then you may think.|

|rambleon84||Bump, any suggestions for when I try to tackle this again tonight? I just cant get any leverage while laying on my back to get the trans moved back enough to get the old mount out. I can move the tranny only a little and not enough. Any ideas on what caused my tranny to move towards the subframe? I could clearly see that the wood I used to support the tranny had been moved towards the frame by a couple inches as it was running into the frame where as when the mount was still bolted in, i had an inch between the block and the frame.|

Well I'm giving up on this for tonight, just getting frustrated and no results
So worst case scenario and I cant get it installed. Would it be ok to drive the car 1.5 miles to the shop i normally get stuff done at with out the lower mount attached? Say if i drive like a complete grandma or would that destroy my other two mounts or worse?
