|FocusInCali||I'm wondering if they are calling the CD Changer port the Aux port.?. (possibly the same?)|

i've heard of other devices like this but they never work because it doesn't communicate with the ford head unit protocal. so i'm skeptical on this.

|FocusInCali||Did they tell you that? It's my understanding these plug into the CD Changer port, which may also be called the AUX.|

|iRebound||The AUX-POD connects to the HU's AUX port. The 9006 HU doesn't have an AUX port so that won't work.|

First things first, the sites specifically state 2000 to 2003, you have a 2004. That doesn't mean it won't work, but you need to be specific when inquiring. You should start with the Ford dealership and find out more information about the connector on your HU. And you can also contact PAC and Neo to see if they know if either will work for your specific year and model. Good Luck and post your findings back here.

|iRebound||I haven't gotten a real answer if those will work with my 9006 HU. Anyone know?|

For the AUX Pod, it says 12-Pin connector for the 00-03 Focus . Does the 9006 audiophile head unit have a 12-pin connector?
Then the Neo iON says 16 pin connector. I just want something that'll work with the 9006 HU. I just emailed them. Still waiting for a reply

Stock HU iPod Dock-Connector Input Adapter for 2000 to 2003
The two parts you will need are part # AB-FRD12 and part# AUX-POD. ($8 and $189) $197, this charges the iPod and you can control the iPod with the stock HU.
The AUX-BOX is $69 plus the AB-FRD12 at $8, then you could buy a Sik 'din' iPod dock-connector adapter for $22 and the total would be $99, plus a mini-stereo to rca cable to connect them for a few bucks more. You can't control the iPod or charge it with this setup, but it is 1/2 the price.
Either way, it's cool for those who want to keep the stock HU.
Double-check to make sure it will work with your specific HU.
http://www.cardomain.com has them for the above prices.
Here is another unit like aux-pod called the Neo ION, complete for $189, and it charges and controls via HU as well.
I'm sure there are more of these coming out for stock and aftermarket HU applications, like the Alpine unit.
