I didn't realize how close I was to another D23 ZX3. I moved from Minnesota to the Atlanta area a few months ago. Do you get over this way for any events? You should bring your car over to Atlanta Dragway on a Friday night sometime. I've had mine out there a couple times. Didn't get a lot of passes, but it's fun to hang out anyways.

sorry guys, no updates at the moment, car doesn't do much expect get started periodically to keep the engine spinning :(
I've been stuck living in an apartment, so not much work space. Also got engaged, so that took a chunk of money ;)
But, the focus is still around, it will make it back to the track someday.

Any updates in here?
I ran STF the past 2 years and decided to make the jump to FSP!

Haha, I am thinking of going to SMF with the car. Not to be all out competitive, but to be open to add some more performance (hp) items to the car.
So maybe SMF next year...

just saw this discussion on seats.
i had a sparco seat for racing, but still oem passenger seat.
recently i picked up 2 kirkeys for $150. the guy had bought the "intermediates" instead of the "Drag", and they have this really annoying wings that get in the way.
So, i spend some time with the angle grinder and tig welder and cut them down so they look like the drag seats, and i'll modify the cover to match.
Also, for the passenger seat, since there is no minimum weight, i may take the hole saw to it, and lighten it up.
this should drop quite a few pounds from the car.
Don't worry though, a passenger will never sit in it, its just for official competition.
i swap race seats in for auto-x, i much prefer the oem for commuting to work.

Waiting on tax return money to do some fun stuff to the car, stay tuned.

The nice thing about the Kirkeys is that you can buy new covers and padding at any time; they snap on and off--the frame never wears out. I love they way the seat feels on track...and you can buy them in many different widths to ensure a custom fit.
