|steve35svt||They will flex more than alloy wheels but you shouldn't have any problems , you said you won't be putting r-comps on them. I ran steal wheels on my first autocrosser.|

|wrc_fan||You won't be competitive with steelies, but there's nothing wrong with running them. The focus is heavy and needs a wide tire to really be competitive.|

|GodLovesUgly||damn. i was thinking that same exact thing. if i get a new wheel i'd like to get another set of 17s.. 16s are a lil cheaper but 17s look better imo. but which are better for the track?|

|UnFocusedST||I ran stealies with stock tires half way through my first auto X season. I don't recommend them because or tire body roll. However with some desent tires on them I'm sure you can make it work. I would recommend though a 16X7 wheel with possibly a 225/40/16 tire. Less tire body roll and more traction.|

|mlbbaseball||i ran my Rcomps on my steelies, 215/45/15's it was really pushing it, but they fit and never had a problem.|

Steelies will work OK. I ran them on my Jetta in 2007.

yo, i was wondering if anyone has run stock steelies? i really REALLY don't wanna buy another set of wheels and i still have my stock steelies for winter tires, and by the time the autox season comes the snow should be fine with my 17's & i could just switch my winter tires out..
is this okay? i'll probably be running 205/50/15s
