03OrangeSVT Check the timing table for WOT w/IRMC open

FordManSVT I was at the dyno again today. Set the J&S to individual cylinder mode. Sensetivity to just under half way. Also turned off the knock sensor. And it doesnt seem to be as bad. But it still drops timing. Just for S&G we made a pull with the J&S unplugged and the car still acts up. It seems to happen when the IMRC changes, but I we cant see how that will make the car drop timing.

FordManSVT Yeah, gotto love the comp orange, and boost is going to be great.

03OrangeSVT Another turbo Comp Orange.... Sweet.

I'd also go in the tune and set the number of knock sensors to 0..... just in case.

FordManSVT Ok that makes sense with the knock sensor. Is the knock sensor the only thing I need to have turned off? I did have the J&S was set to cut out all 4 culinders. I am going back up to the dyno tomorrow. I have a feeling that the knock sensor and the cut out of all cylinders is my problem. It is a turbo car.

03OrangeSVT When you turn off the knock sensor in the tune all it does is tell teh ECU to ignore its input, thats how the J&S can still use it.

Also with the J&S are you set up to pull timing across all 4 cylinders at once or individual cylinder??

This a SC or turbo car?

FordManSVT He is using SCT. I dont thing that it is the runner change. To me that should not affect timing like that. I dont thing the knock sensor is turned off. So the know sensor is turned off but the J&S still reads off the wiring? I will be going up tomorrow afternoon when it goes back on the dyno. I will take my laptop and try to post a datalog of the timing problem. I dont have access to it today. I know that the J&S is the thing to have, yesterday i drove it with it plugged in and it really died at 4500-5000 rpm then picked back up. I alson drove it with the J&S unplugged and it was not nearly as bad. (only drove maybe 1/4 mile total, just enough the see that somethings not right). I think we dont have it set up right.

03OrangeSVT I'd like to see a datalog of it.

illinipo yeah i dont deny that.

but the fact is its doing something crazy around the rpm of the runner change.

03OrangeSVT ^^^ But he also said its adding timing... which tells me knock sensor is still on.
