focusmaniaczx3 ive never had an engine failure because of an oil filter. change your oil every 3000 miles and nothing bad will happen. if your filter is so clogged up by 3000 miles that its constantly in bypass you have another problem causing that, not the filter. a little pointer for ya when you change or check your oil: oil should not be black when its on your hands at 3000 miles. it should be light-dark brown.

Justin svt i used fram and the OP dropped. never will use them again. havent tried K&N. are they worth the extra 10 bucks?

03OrangeSVT I wont use Fram or K&N ..... only MotorCraft and WIX for me.

Godzukidan I think I will stick with my Motorcraft filters. I have not had any problems with them in 25 years of driving. O man I am showing my age again....lol

dsmuts I use fram on everything as long as you change the oil at the right intervals you will be fine. Never had to replace the motor on any car i've ever owned.
